Home Preservation Program to Revitalize Gaston Community

We build homes, communities, and hope: Home Preservation project focuses on making homes safer and more secure.

GASTON ( July 27, 2019) -West Tuality Habitat for Humanity is headed to Gaston, OR, on July 27th, with approximately 15 volunteers to complete A Brush With Kindness projects on two homes in the community. The volunteers will be meeting at Wapato Valley Church–who have agreed to let the volunteers convene in their parking in order to go over the projects for the day before splitting into two work groups to work on exterior weatherization.

This event is open to families with children as young as 5 for a day of house-painting and yard work. West Tuality Habitat is excited to be a part of the Disney Family Volunteering Rewards Program, through which they will be able to offer up to 20 Disney 1-Day Park Hopper Passes for raffle to the families volunteering on this and other repair projects this Summer.

West Tuality Habitat serves western Washington County through its new construction and home preservation programs and is excited to be hosting this Repair Blitz in Gaston. This program seeks to serve the low income, veteran, senior, and disabled populations to ensure families are able to stay in their homes for longer by making them safe and more secure.
